Finding Your Purpose in Life...

I have always felt like I am here for a reason. I could never work it out though, but I now know what it is. My path to wellness has led me on a journey that I want others to join the ride with me. I want to share my discoveries, show my treasures and be there to support the travel to be taken by those that are hoping to reach the same destination.

I’ve encountered self-doubt obstacles all my life. Am I good enough? What if I fail? Maybe it’s better that I don’t try and then I’ve neither failed or succeeded and I’m no better/worse off. These voices in my mind talk to me at critical points in my life especially when I have the passion and the drive to move forward. Journaling and gratitude have played a big role in helping me to have faith in myself and my abilities. To realise that I am ‘perfect’ just the way that I am and that my authentic self is very much loved by self and others. My will power has been a huge strength for me especially in my internal health which in turn has led me to lose some weight I’ve been waiting 30 years to shed. It’s helped me gain control over my health and wellbeing and has shown me that I can love myself, I am good enough and that I am beautiful and that if I fail, I will just pick myself up and try again. I’ve allowed the support of others to filter in where I would never have before… I’ve always wanted to do it on my own, be independent and achieve it without having to share my failures by telling others what I was doing. I listened to criticism better and with learning to be the outcome of this. I used to hide under a rock with any criticism and get really upset but now I look at it all differently. I too have learnt over time the art of listening and listening deeply to those that talk to me. I let them finish, I give them space to think after they have talked, and I find this has really helped me be a better person.
I have finally found the purpose I was destined for. To support others in their wellness journeys, to shine the light in the right direction and to help pick up the pieces when they feel they have failed. I wake every morning with a routine/ritual that I love, and it makes me feel alive. I start the day with relaxing and calming music, my essential oil diffuser, my green smoothie full of cleansing green goodness followed by my oats and all things yummy and good. I take all my vitamins, my prunes and my one brazil nut… I have my relaxing no. 2 time, my beautiful cleansing shower (with a dry body brush beforehand). I try to fit in a 10 minute meditation but if I don’t then I fit it in before bedtime. I love my cup of tea in the morning… a cleansing herbal. I end my day with making sure I am prepped for the next day, gratitude and journaling listening to some wind down music and listening to my body about when it’s time for bed.
My purpose makes me feel alive, healthy and of value to others. It helps me to strive to live a long and well life full of laughter, love and all things wholesome.
