Let's Look at Almond Oil...

All of these fun facts really amaze me especially when I truly delve deeper into an individual food. Again, I have used my source “Laugh with Health” to share this information with you. I’ve just started using Almond Oil to make my own body lotion with essential oils and I knew it was good for my skin, but I wantrd to know more.

Almond oil has been used for thousands of years in facial cosmetics, the Roman ladies cherished the rejuvenating benefits and today you can get the same treatment with little cost. A small bottle of pure almond oil will go a long way in providing essential nourishment to the skin and the rich supply of Vitamin E (39mg) is the main factor.

When I looked at the component of Vitamin E in other oils this is what I found - Avcado Oil - 0mg Vit E, Apricot Kernel Oil - 8.7mg Vit E, Canola Oil - 17mg Vit E, Coconut Oil - .1g Vit E, Olive Oil - 14.3mg Vit E…

Almond oil supplies 87% unsaturated fats, mainly in the form of monounsaturated 70% with nearly 60% being in the form of oleic acid. The oleic acid content of almond oil is completely digestible and it has the ability to improve the transfer and absorption of the fat soluble vitamins: a, d, e and k. Almond Oil is a good source of Omega 6 (10g) and it supplies only a trace of Omega 3. When added to a salad dressing, the rich oleic acid content in almond oil will enhance the effectiveness of vitamin e and promote skin cell life, as vitamin e protects against oxidation. Excess use of margarine is a major cause of poor skin condition as it increases the rate of vitamin e oxidation. Almond oil is ready to liven up your life internally and externally with beautiful benefits.

A little bit about Vitamin E:

  • Almonds provide the Vitamin E balance

  • Vit E assists blood circulation and lowers blood cholesterol

  • Vit E preserves the walls of the red blood cells

  • Vit E increases the power and activity of muscles and improves their endurance

  • Vit E strengthens the heart muscle - sunflower seeds are the ultimate E food

  • Vit E protests the lungs from pollution

  • Vit E helps regulate the body’s use of fats and protein from the daily diet

  • Vit E promotes the activity of the ovaries and assists normal menstruation

  • Vit E promotes the function of the pituitary and adrenal glands in the production of hormones and protects hormones from oxidation

  • Natural Vit E foods such as almonds and cosmetic creams containing (d alpha tocopherol-tocotrienols) protect the skin from UV radiation from sunlight

  • Natural Vit E foods and creams are also beneficial for the healing of burns and damaged skin tissues

How are you going to add some almonds into your life?
