Sustaining a Healthy Lifestyle

Once you have reached your goals health and wellness wise, how do you sustain that and live the rest of your life looking after your wellness?


This is a great question and one I bet we have all asked at least once in our lifetime if we’ve ever gone on the latest fad diet plan. We achieve the weight loss, dress size etc, and then what now? How do we keep our bodies functioning on limited nutrients for the rest of our life?


I discovered this the long and hard way as everything I had tried to achieve my goals had become something I didn’t want to be doing forever and this is where I found Wholesome Days was born. I wanted to create a lifestyle for myself that was holistic, wholesome, nourishing and fulfilled all of my wellness desires which meant it had to be meaningful but easy to sustain. The time I put in to discover what it was I truly wanted helped me on my journey to self-love, self-care and a roundedness that only you will feel when you go on your own wellness journey.


The steps I took are now all part of my Wholesome Me Wellness Program that slowly but surely takes you on a voyage of self-discovery. Learning so much more about yourself than you ever thought was one of the things that I really got out of this. What is it that you truly desire? Who are you and who is your ideal self? Where do you see yourself in the future? Why do you want to make these life changes? How are you going to get there?


It’s so worth the journey and as all trips, challenges and road blocks pop up, but we work around them and this adds to the experiences we learn from. When we reach the destination even if it is only the first stepping stone, we jump for joy and capture the moment and what’s around us. Stop and smell the roses on the journey! Once you are well on your path to your wellness goals, the things that keep you going, keep you motivated are the reasons we discovered earlier. We go back to them over and over again and remind ourselves about the what, who, where and why we want the wellness lifestyle that we've chosen.


We can all achieve our own bliss by just sitting and starting with some reflections and visualisations. A coach, like me, can help you discover the prompts needed to start and to also keep you accountable and motivated to reach your bliss.
