Falling down when faced with challenges but how do we get back up?

When we are faced with challenges it is how we deal with these challenges that will pull us through. There will always be change and obstacles will arise and stand in our way. Dealing with these when we are feeling positive seems easier to work through them and they pass us by like a boat sailing past. When we are not feeling so positive, our defences are down, we have to dig into our vault of resources…
Here are some tips on how to cope with challenges:
Stop and take a breath. Walk away from your phone, from social media, from emails, from chat. Put your phone in another room on silent. Maybe for a while only look at your phone at a certain time of day.
Talk to someone. If you feel comfortable talk to a friend or work through this challenge with a professional.
Journal your thoughts. Putting these on paper and looking back over them can really help set you on the right path for future challenges so be honest with what you are truly feeling.
Self-love time. Make time for a walk along the beach/nature, meditate or do something you love to do. Think positive thoughts so that they outweigh the negative ones.
Gratitude. Write down 3 things you are thankful for every day for a week. You’ll be surprised at how this will make you feel.
Make yourself do something. Don’t go and lie in bed all day, even though that feels like all you want to do. Make tasks easier by breaking them down into smaller steps.
I was faced with a challenge/minor setback yesterday, one I thought was leaving my universe for good but however my stars were aligned, I found it really difficult to work through. There were tears of frustration and hopelessness. Why can I not cope with this today? I actually just wanted the day to end to be honest and start again tomorrow but it was early Sunday morning. I had the whole day ahead of me. Pez said to me “if you were talking to one of your clients about this, what would you come up with?”
He was right! I have a toolkit of resources and I started with just one of them and worked my way through the day. Glad to say, I was back to my happy self today xxx
